Getting to the top is relatively easier than staying at the top. Have you ever thought of sportsmen and global ranking, and how particular people dominate the top ranks for a season and after a while slip off, with many failing to recover? Of a truth, several forces and laws of nature come to play in discussing this simple illustration, one of such is ‘no condition is permanent’, or that we cannot be at a place all the days of our lives. Several people believe it is only ‘natural’ as humans for us to slip and ‘change’ over time, however, I often disagree with this claim.

Personally I believe that we can choose to be the best in a chosen field for as long as we want it except we surrender. What may then determine the outcome later on may be a battle of wills, a deliberate surrender which I often love will come through age and retirement, or extenuating circumstances beyond human control. Assuming everything around us is ‘perfect’(it never is), we have no excuse not to be at the top for as long as we wish it. This is where discipline comes in. There are many dimensions of discipline and it goes beyond subjecting oneself to stringent conditions. There is more to it.

PRINCIPLES PRODUCE SUCCESS

Principles produce success. Carefully dissect the success of different men and women and it will be discovered that there is a particular pattern - Certain things were done in certain ways to achieve those feats we celebrate. These men understood the power of their mind and knew precisely the actions to compliment those thoughts driving their imaginations into reality. The massive success the world applauds is only a reward of these processes.

Therefore, if the process is understood, why let go of it and end up falling below that already set standard? This is the role of discipline. Maintaining success involves a great deal of discipline. The moment we let go of the principles that produced a particular success, we end up in depths we never imagined possible. Remember, time waits for no one and there are millions of other people waiting to sit right on that summit you alone occupy. Constantly others are working and fine-tuning their strategies and principles to topple you and get to sit on that summit. Hence, if you are favoured enough to be at the top, it is not a time to sit back but to carefully continue to fine tune and replicate the principles that produced that success.

In conclusion, study your past success, carefully evaluate the things you did that produced them and begin to build on those principles and you will make success your right!

REALITY CHANGERS

After reading this piece, you are granted express permission to fiddle with reality. Start painting the things you want to see and how you want to see them. Start positioning yourself in the right places, doing the right things, seeing the right results. I am amazed at what reality can turn out to become even when we least look like it. Vision is a part of this, but not all to it. Action is a part of this, yet not all to it. Persistence is apart of it, still not all to it, people are a part of it, yet not all of it. All these are but ingredients…the vital ingredient is the source of these all- the human mind. Your hands will do only that which the mind asks it to do. Your other senses are a collection of infrastructure with which you perfect and implement ALL your master planner – the mind asks them to do.

Your brain is the foreman and lead consultant and your mouth is the secretary of the board.

We can build a super fast computer argued a visionary CEO, we can build a computer that does things in ways we have never thought of before. We can revolutionize customer’s computing experience forever. Let’s build a functional system that appeals to our sense of touch, that feels our innermost desires, sensitive to the user and does errands from the mind before even saying them. A mouse that can point and scroll by merely stoking a finger on a plain surface, scrolling screens without having to click, typing documents without having to save, the computer saves up for you and build a second by second time machine that can come alive by mere clicking, and has the ability to be restore anytime needed. Are you kidding me? NO! Actually, reality is in our hands, reality is in the mind of the beholder. I cannot emphasize the power of our thoughts enough. Once you conceive it, then it can be actualized. Who will ever imagine tablets will run the show this season, who ever thought, flat paper like objects will be faster than computers with abundant abilities to do all and more than computer? Wake up and smell the coffee! With the limitless power of our thoughts, we have the abundant power to become reality changers. Men of purpose who sit back and alter the dynamics of the human world by the power of their thoughts.

Get out of your shell and know that you have the power to rule your world, you have the power to make changes at the highest level, and you can solve ALL problems your heart is passionately endeared to. Yes, you can! Think it, ponder it, meditate on it, get angry about it, sit back on it, reflect it, puzzle your mind about it, then think it again, change your perspective, see the bright sides, spot the challenges – then bring forth the solution. The world awaits!

A TOUCH OF CLASS

I have looked around the planet, read many stories, seen many successful people and I am moved to say beyond all doubt that the reasons why people fly high and are recognized is because they ALWAYS do things differently in a positive way. I call it doing things with a TOUCH OF CLASS. This certainly is another way of describing EXCELLENCE. Excellence is that extra bit that makes what men do outstanding. Facebook is an excellent platform because it added juice to what yahoo and Hotmail have been doing for years – social media. I will get back to this in a jiffy. Who wants to see the same old things? As it is often said that it is pure madness to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. Why does APPLE stand out in IT? What does its 'THINK DIFFERENT' campaign mean to its global brand? Better still what can be implied from those two words that capture the essence of their brand? I KNOW beyond all doubt that there are many creative people. In fact every man is creative in their own right, however what will make you out standing is HOW you do things!

EVERY man STANDS by doing things. FEW men stand OUT because they do things EXCELLENTLY.

Identify the guys above? They are in a class of their own. They define innovation and pure class. The 21^st century is fed up of mediocrity. The landscape is for the HIGH FLYERS, those who have courage in what they are doing and can do them with that touch of class.

GET YOUR GAME ON AND FLY AT THE HIGHEST ALTITUDE. EXCELLENCE IS THE TRIPOD OF INNOVATION

We live in the JET AGE. Jets fly higher than planes anywhere and anytime and are faster too. If planes represent invention, jets are certainly in the class of innovation. After all jets came along only when the Wright brothers invented planes, and several other life changing products came out from the works of these great inventors.

EXCELLENCE IS A SHIFT IN PERSPECTIVE

Let me drive home my point on this ground – there is nothing particularly new under the face of the sun. Every new thing you see is an off-shoot of something that already exists. Invention is not necessarily the key to ‘greatness’, innovation is. Invention could take you a life time, innovation will not take as long, yet if properly executed takes the shine off invention. Yahoo and Hotmail have been in the game for ages. Online chatting started with them. Social networking tool sprouted from this point. Hi5 and others came to the fore with connecting friends around the world - just a twist to what Yahoo and Hotmail had going. Facebook came up and in less than five years has become the third largest country in the world, connecting everyone that cares to be a part from all over the globe. Facebook was not an invention. Chatting by yahoo and Hotmail was, Facebook is the definition of innovation. There are thousands of other examples we need to see in this light to start thinking differently.

Therefore invention is not the same thing as innovation, innovation fits more into the fast paced 21^st century world. Sit back, think hard, innovate and you could hit the next blockbuster product that will change the world. In academics, the next ground breaking research will be hinged on innovation. Nothing new out there, just the way men work with what exists to create new things. In conclusion, be it in academics, sports or whatever career you are into, get your INNOVATION on top gear.

HOW NOT TO GET SLAPPED!

I choose to start in a lighter mode. You will agree with me one of the quickest ways of getting a blurry vision is through slaps in the face. Slaps mostly come from offended ladies (apologies to any lady reading this), men prefer to punch. Many come unexpected and the shock waves they send through the system practically affect our senses, the most affected being our eyes. A resounding slap leaves you stunned and seeing stars, not even when it is in the night. Of course, I have been a victim of really hot and dirty slaps in the past but this article is not about the horrible experiences of slaps, neither is it focused on slap surveys but those attitudes we habour that constantly slap us in the face, blurring our visions and disturbing us from looking ahead at success. A deadly combination of 4 attitudes makes up the SLAPs that could delay us in achieving the success we so desire at work or school. They are:

Stagnancy

A deadly thing to do to one self is to try not to progress. In other words, remain stagnant. How unfair! If you don’t move on, you are in for a shocker. Life will pass you by. Your achievement of the past counts for nothing unless you continue to achieve more to beat your own records. A river that stagnates MUST stink, therefore a man who stops reasoning, or thinking is bound to stink also. For vision driven men like you, you have to keep evolving, getting creative and dynamic. Do not remain on a spot, get going and keep churning out the qualities you have inside you.

Stagnant ponds stink!

Laziness

A lazy man gets nothing done and when he ventures into doing anything, he doesn’t do it well. What is worth doing at all is worth doing well. Laziness kills our creativity, imagination, focus and energy. It makes us sit back like there is nothing to be done when in fact there are tones of work to be accomplished. My advice to lazy people is to study the ants, consider their ways and be wise. Ants labour at the right time and rest when the job is done, therefore laziness is a disease and it kills our productivity.

Anger

An angry man can destroy that which he has taken him 10 years in 10 seconds. It is not bad to get angry but it becomes a problem when we allow it rule us and we allow it affect the way we treat people. Anger manifests from settled hatred and hatred as we know it is a very bad thing to have in our minds. For vision driven people, like you, watch out for anger as it not only slows us down but can ruin us completely. It is not in all situations we have to snap and lose our temper. Watch out! Angry men do not last at the top, they are usually the architect of their own destructions. It makes people who are meant to help us dislike us and it trips off the self-destruct mode!

Procrastination

It is often said that procrastination is the thief of time. Indeed it is! Whatever you can do now, do it and get it out of the way. Do not postpone it as the right time may never come again. I have personally learnt bitter lessons from procrastination and I found it killed my ideas; it slowed down my productivity and made me lose invaluable creative ideas to other smart people who acted on the same concepts with speed. This disease de-values time which is the currency of all things and could blind our eyes to potential opportunities that come around once in a life time. So watch out. If there is anything that has to be done, focus your mind and get it done as soon as the opportunity arises, not tomorrow and then next week perhaps until it ends up not being done!

Together these deadly combination of negative attitudes are set to snuff life out of our creativity and vision hence they are to be loathed and worked consciously against. The quickest way to start seeing results to admit their presence in our daily activities and to start hitting the vibes against them. Start setting goals within time-frames and get friends or mentors to check you to ensure you deliver in good time. If you can do this for some time, it naturally becomes a part of you. But note, no man can push our visions for us better than our good selves. Stop getting slapped and start making headway to the finish line.

THINK, CONCEIVE, PUSH AND DELIVER

For everything that has been created or invented or brought to life, there are two critical stages: The Conception stage (the moment the idea was conceived) and the Delivery stage (the moment the idea comes to life).

What happens in-between is a process of growth from what we can refer to as the fetus to a fully grown child. Haven gone through the growth stages, a day comes in when the baby has to be delivered. Let’s think of it, ceteris paribus, the delivery process is meant to be naturally induced, at the set TIME, the baby begins to make its way to the exit point. It wants to be delivered and brought to life! Finally when it arrives, relief glides in the air. Along the way however, terrible things could happen that could lead to the termination of the ‘pregnancy’. This rather gory thing could take different forms. It could be a deliberate termination as in the case of an unwanted pregnancy or perhaps due several extenuating circumstances but the end result is usually the loss of a ‘child’.

Here’s the deal. We all came through the same process and can thus relate to them quite well! How this delivery process works with everyday life is the real focus of this piece.

Without a doubt, ideas pop up in our minds, we always love to do certain things in probably ways men have not done them before, for some the uniqueness of their concepts are so fantastic, that they actually get scared of bringing them to life (as in the case of unwanted pregnancies). These things are real, ideas belong to all men just as all men are permitted to have children at least if they want to.

ALL MEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO THINK AND CONCEIVE IDEAS. THE ONLY LIMIT TO WHICH THIS CAN BE DONE IS YOU!

But the critical question is

HOW MANY GREAT IDEAS HAVE POPPED UP IN YOUR MIND AND GOT TERMINATED?

Here is what you should understand that all great enterprises, probably Facebook is the most in-vogue, stated out as ideas (conception). These ideas were nurtured properly and allowed to grow (from fetus to a fully developed baby) and then delivered. The same thing goes for Microsoft, Apple, Nokia, Amazon and other corporations of global repute. The charge here then is that for every idea that pops up in your mind and you feel strongly about, allow it to be conceived. GET PREGNANT! That’s the first step. How you will take care of the pregnancy so that you don’t terminate it either knowingly or by error is what the rest of this piece addresses. Okay! Lets go!

1.DISCOVER THE PREGNANCY: This is the first thing. Haven had an intercourse with inspiration, ideas are conceived. Usually pregnant women don’t know they are pregnant immediately, however after a few weeks, they begin to see signs usually uncomfortable ones. So it is with ideas, once it pops up and it’s fixed on your mind, you begin to get uncomfortable and you think about it every time. That is a fantastic thing. It’s normal. This is a delicate stage there fore be careful! Critical decisions and steps that could keep or destroy the ideas are taken here especially when the idea seems to be a massive one that ‘you feel is too big to be delivered’.

NO IDEA IS TOO BIG TO BE DELIVERED. IF YOU CAN THINK IT, THEN YOU CAN DO IT. IF YOU CAN GET PREGANANT, THEN YOU CAN DELIVER IT!

2. FEED THE CONCEPTION: Diet is key to the growth of a forming child, so it is with ideas that pop up in our heads. Begin to nurture conscientiously and with utmost care. Know well that wrong substances that get to he baby at this point could either terminate it or cause it to be deformed at birth. Research properly, look for reliable intelligence, share experiences with the RIGHT PEOPLE who can give you the right tips. Get the positives (nutrients) in at all times and be weary of the negatives. Begin to see your child grow in your belly! It is still in you so no man can steal it! Go for regular check-ups (ante-natal care) with the doctors. For your dreams, your doctors are your mentors and close confidants who can help you examine the growth of your ‘baby’ and give you healthy advises to keep it going. This has to continue every step of the way.

3. BE WEARY OF ‘IDEACIDES’: ‘ideacides’ as in pesticides are those unhealthy substances that could lead to the untimely death of an idea or concept you are carrying. These things come in myriads of forms. It could be your environment, past experiences, family or even friends. Therefore be extra cautious of those things that can cause your dreams to die and deliberately protect yourself and ideas from them. If you allow your baby to be aborted, the pains are usually enormous and the psychological peril that follows could be devastating. Unfortunately however, lots of people allow this happen to them.

DO NOT LET ANYTHING KILL YOUR DREAM OR TERMINATE YOUR CONCEPT. IT IS YOUR BABY AND THUS YOUR DUTY TO PROTECT IT FROM ANY POTENTIAL HARM.

4. PREPARE TO DELIVER: No man expects to have a baby without preparing a cozy, conducive place for the child to be laid. From the moment the estimated delivery date i.e the time you have set to deliver your concept into a tangible product or service is set, you begin to prepare. You have to look forward and shop the essentials and necessary infrastructure ahead of time for the comfort of the child. The right people to help you over see the real ‘tangible’ the moment it arrives, launch platforms amongst others constitute this. They are critical hence have to be well prepared for.

IF YOU FAIL TO PREPARE, THEN EXPECT A DISASTER FOR GREAT IDEAS NOT DELIVERED INTO PROPERLY STRUCTURED MECHANISMS COULD BE DESTROYED IN NO TIME

Be ready when opportunities come!

5. PUSH PUSH PUSH…DELIVER!: This stage is the most critical. Many babies have been killed at the point of birth due to mistakes; many come forth with deformities not anticipated and so on. These are possible end lines which I strongly believe are not meant for any man reading this piece. You have to PUSH WELL to deliver. Pushing is key for the child does not just drop off! You have to put your all into helping your child come forth. At this stage, there is no return lest you lose it all. The push is the struggle to successfully help that concept you have been nurturing for some time become tangible. The process is tedious yet rewarding more than anything at the end of it all. Usually at the sound of the baby’s cry, relief sweeps the air and the doctors say ‘Congratulations, you did it!’

My desire for you this year is that you are able to conceive, nurture and bring forth those revolutionary ideas that can transform your life, be it at work, school or even your family. I believe strongly that we can do all things we wanted to do except we never really wanted them. So get the intercourse with inspiration going and deliver the future revolutionary tools for our generation. The world awaits your baby! Stay tuned, HAPPY NEW YEAR and I love you!

THAT MONEY CALLED TIME!

Besides money, time makes the world go round. The universe is governed by an order anchored primarily on time. Check out the seasons all year round, we know when to expect the rains, summer, winter and autumn. A pregnant woman knows precisely when to expect her baby. Our transport systems work on time. You miss a train or flight, you pay dearly by having to wait for another. Inside that gap of time, you could have missed a valuable opportunity. So what’s the big deal about time? Allow me put it this way.

TIME IS THE CURRENCY OF SEASONS. TIME IS THE CURRENCY OF OPPORTUNITIES. TIME IS THE CURRENCY OF GREATNESS TIME IS THE CURRENCY OF EVERYTHING

Therefore TIME IS MONEY. It is that resource the universe has placed in our hands which we spend how we like. However, wise men SPEND theirs with PRUDENCE and FORESIGHT. You would agree that the fastest way to land a poor man into further depths of poverty is to hand over to him a huge sum of money when he LEAST expects it. Because he is simply not ready for it, he spends it anyhow and lands back into poverty. Teach the same man how to ‘fish’, hand over money to him and the chances of him doing well will be quite high. So it is with time. Most times we just always feel Oh my God! I have got PLENTY of TIME and end up using it badly and most times we regret our actions. Therefore

PLAN YOUR TIME WISELY, LIKE YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ANY OTHER TIME IN LIFE TO DO THE IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO DO NOW!

And talking about NOW! Its powerful to note that the best time to take action for the thing we have to do is NOW! Procrastination is a thief of time. It is the deadly robber of our precious resource. As you read this, its time well spent because you are getting to see some things in different lights. Check this out

ALL GREAT MEN THAT EVER LIVED HAD THE SAME 24 HOURS YOU HAVE TODAY. NO ADVANTAGE. WHAT THEY DID WITH THE RESOURCE IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM AND OTHER MEN!

See time as a resource that has to be invested and accounted for. You will be shocked that once you pass your time with accountability for every second such as shrewd investors will do, you will reap the best of it. You become very rich (depending on what you do). If you invest your time in reading, you reap knowledge, if you invest your time talking to the right people, you get the right direction and shared knowledge. You just cannot afford to waste time because it flies. 2010 started like yesterday, we winked and it is almost over. 2011 too will come and go. I think it’s a great time, if you haven’t, to start accounting for your time. Every second counts and matters. Be shrewd to use this with wisdom. It can make or break you. Successful men use their time wisely, that’s why you cannot just badge into a president’s office to see him. the world’s most successful people get heavily paid for just a little fraction of their time why? They have invested in time to add to themselves and are thus giving out of their hard earned knowledge. That does not come easy…In the light of these, start with the following

Plan each day
Be sure you account for every second
If possible, use every time to add value to you. That’s what the world will pay you for!
Think time, think money hence use it wisely.

GLIDING ON TURBULENCE

You choose!

We must understand that in our journey to the very top, people and situations will challenge our identity, seeking to puncture our hopes and aspirations. Infact, if by now, you have not started experiencing elements of this, you should re-examine your goals and re-evaluate the strategies you have adopted so far. You will agree with me that it’s a simple law as propounded by Sir Isaac Newton, in his third law of motion that

‘FOR EVERY ACTION, THERE IS ALWAYS AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REACTION’

If this statement is true, then for every step you take, always expect opposing forces to come around trying to even out your efforts. This is where sheer, resilience, persistence and consistence comes in. Therefore, only two outcomes are possible:

You allow the opposing force overcome you and trample on your dreams or;
You exert even more force or pressure to conquer the opposing force and breakthrough to the next level where an even greater quantum will arise and yet again you surmount till you get to your destination.

This is precisely where the critical point is – exerting a greater force from your end, usually fueled by passion, vision and purpose to overturn all negative and opposing forces. The simplest way to describe the resulting tussle is a head-on clash which of course results in turbulence. Turbulences are quite scary however, let your hope lie in the fact that

‘STORMS ARE SURE TESTS FOR SURE MEN’

The rising storms

If you had expected a smooth sail to the top, then you are on the wrong ship taking you down to the wrong destination. As a matter of fact, the beauty of our ascent to the top is our ability to narrate to men, how we survived all odds to climb up. The journey to the very top is a lonely road. It is like a pyramid. As you leave the bottom of the pyramid to the top, it gets narrow, with fewer people to look up to. In most cases, it is those you have left at the lower level who exert a greater downward force on you, trying to bring you back to where they ‘think you belong’, however, your sight of the pyramid peak is your motivation to climb even higher. See this then, if the pyramid is split into five levels, it implies that when you are at the 2^nd level, you have one ‘force field’ trying to pull you (people stillat the 1^st level), but as you ascend, the pressure becomes greater still. It is your quest to overcome these forces, pressure and power that makes turbulence arise. So, how do you emerge from this? It’s all in strategy as I will explain thus:

1. IDENTITY: This concept is hinged on the principles of KNOWING YOURSELF. It is quite important you know yourself, your values and what you stand for because if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. In the words of Chinese military strategist, Sun Tzu, he says KNOW YOURSELF, KNOW YOUR CONTENDERS, ENCOUNTER A HUNDRED BATTLES, ENCOUNTER A HUNDRED VICTORIES.

2. PERSISTENCE: Sheer persistence, you will agree is the key to breakthrough. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, therefore you CANNOT quit, not when you are a step closer to the destination. Regardless of the ills men bring your way, just like I have resolved over this blog, I will continue to write regardless of what people say about me or this blog. I am sure someday, the world will celebrate your success provided you never let go.

3. GLIDING: Finally, the ‘joker’ concept of this message which is hooked on the premise that your dreams, passion, zeal, identity and persistence will act as a surf board on which you will glide into the promise land. Look at pro surfers and how in the midst of rising waves, they ride on it, yes! That is the picture. So keep it real.

Glide on!

In conclusion therefore, it is until you establish your identity, values and principles, clearly placed in the board on sheer consistency and persistence that you have the right tool to glide over all turbulence. I strongly advise you never to be weary for the world awaits your manifestation. Shall I say – Start surfing your way to success and the next level? Yeah, that is it! Stay tuned to this blog. HEALING THE FRACTURED MIND WITH A STRUCTURED MIND!

Down times are bound to come around in our academic and career lives. Failure too is a compulsory companion in our quest for a resounding and lasting victory in life. Rudyard Kipling in his popular poem ‘IF’ said;

if we can meet with success and failure and treat these two impostors just the same……then you will be a man my son!

You know, I have often heard people say things like, ‘I can’t make it’, ‘No way! I can’t graduate with a first class’, ‘Oh! There’s no way I can surpass that dude’s record! It’s just unbeatable’, or they say, ‘I have tried too many times and it seems I am jinxed not to make it’, ‘A’s? No way, not for a guy like me’! But then I am always quick to respond to all these ‘exclamations’ WHO THEN IS SUCCESS MEANT FOR? If it is not meant for you who then is it meant for? If you can’t break an existing record, who should? If you cant see ahead for yourself, who should? If all you engulf your heart with are thoughts of I CANT, I WILL NEVER, I AM NOT MEANT TO…then you are on your way to FRACTURING YOUR MIND!

There is a maximum resistance that our minds can offer to the ills and failures we feed to it. For every failure we absorb and allow down into our subconscious, there is a terrible subjective force exerted. The more of this we allow, the more our mind resistance is broken down until we have a MIND FRACTURE.

Mind fracture is a state of mind breakdown where the compressive forces from failure signals overshadow the tensile strength of the mind thus causing it to ‘snap’ or break.

It is similar to what happens when we fracture any bone in the body. It causes a disorder that causes a lot of pain. It subsequently requires some time to heal after the appropriate corrective measures have been taken. It can also be likened to a heart break. A state of heart shatter when it seems our life is broken into pieces. Sad enough but that’s what we are liable to suffer from when we allow minor setbacks rule our hearts.

Good news is that it is curable in record time! The Plaster of Paris (P.O.P) to be applied to correct the fracture is called STRUCTURE. A fracture causes the mind to shatter, losing its form and shape, however structure, when introduced, heals the fracture and makes the mind whole again. It pulls every bit and pieces together into a unified entity that can only be shattered again only if allowed to!

A structured mind is that which recognizes the network of the various facets of our lives and creates a healthy bond amongst them.

In this, there is a transfusion of the joys and successes from one facet of our lives to another thus fostering a bond and unity that cannot be broken. For example, a happy home naturally generates a happy attitude to work! Many students fail in school because they allow the challenges at home to override their success genes. It’s not a crime to come from a problematic home. I come from a polygamous setting and it is quite unhealthy none-the-less, it never for once ‘flowed’ into other aspects of my life. Why? My mind is well structured. I have built it in such a way that only the positives flow around to other parts, watering the seed of greatness in them. The negative things stay where they belong until they are expunged from my mind completely!

In our academic and career lives, we have come against daunting situations, some have even fractured our minds but let me tell you this – the best is just around the corner, allow joy to flow through your mind, healing every wound along its way, forming the right structure that will be unshakable. The route to this is as follows:

TRAVEL FROM

Fracture: A state of total dejection, pains from past failures and emotional trauma. A point where it seems as if you will never be able to get your acts together again

Culture: A deliberate effort to put the past behind and brace the mind for the victory ahead. It’s like the first-aid to fracture preparing it for the next phase of healing, picking up the broken heart pieces and bracing them together for proper cementing.

Structure: This is the POP caste that solders all broken pieces together. It leverages on the culture already applied as first aid to cement a heart into a rigid form that is whole and ready for new challenges. With the proper cast of the structure, it only takes some time for the broken mind pieces to be healed.

Infrastructure: This is the end product. A wholly healed mind becomes infrastructure. Infrastructure is the engine of any economy, like-wise the mind infrastructure is the engine of our being. We generate those lofty ideas and efforts that propel us to the next level. It is the electricity and transportation of our being without which we just barely exist.

The simple journey is from FRACTURE – CULTURE – STRUCTURE – INFRASTRUCTURE. With this, we are yet a step closer to finding the fulfillment we so desire in our lives. Stay tuned to this blog, more teaching to follow in coming weeks. Thank you for reading, I love you!

MIND TOOL VS HISTORY

This is the way it goes – an artist takes his brush and paints his thoughts and feelings to life, an author picks up his pen and writes down his imaginations and opinions, a surgeon takes his scalpel and remolds defective parts of the human body, a carpenter takes his hammer and builds wood into a masterpiece and a mason takes his trowel to joins blocks with mortar, edging them carefully in their places.

One thing I know is common to all these men – they saw, created, built, molded, mended and adjusted their endeavors in their MINDS before putting them out to reality. Let’s take a look at doctors as an example. The first thing they do after examining a patient to be operated upon is to ruminate over the procedure to be used. In his MIND, he literally takes his scapel, dissects, sees through all layers to the problem point, removes what has to removed, mended or replaced, all in his mind carefully detailing the depth of the cuts and other intricacies before sewing up and declaring success. He has already performed the procedure hence he is used to the outcome- SUCCESS therefore the successful outcome of the surgical procedure is not strange to him.

YOUR MIND IS THE FIRST SUCCESS SIMULATOR, SEEING IT IN REALITY IS JUST MERE REPETITION

In other words, our MINDS are our pencils, scalpels, hammers and trowels with which we build, mold and mend our futures. It’s a TOOL. It’s more than mere being a part of us. God had a clear picture of the earth He wanted before creating it and 7 days later…BINGO! The earth was just as beautiful as he imagined it to be.

YOUR SUCCESS IS ONLY AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU CREATE IT AND COULD BE EVEN BETTER AS YOU KEEP REMOLDING IT!

You, you and you have the power to change your circumstances!

Therefore I don’t care about your past or what is called HISTORY. You know I have pondered over my failures which I will share on this blog pretty soon and evaluated my history and I came up with this fact that history comprises:

HI + STORY; where HI (in full) = HIND (rear, behind e.t.c) and

HIND = HAPPENINGS INDICATING DEVELOPEMENT

This implies that your history is your hind story. Watch this:

Can you see the motion of the ‘HIND LEGS’? what were they doing? They actually propped, created a balance and propelled the animal toward its destination. This is a happening indicating development not retrogression! The animal never paused to look back at its legs, he only allowed the hind legs do their work – propel it to its target! So also your history is never meant for evil..it is meant to prop you and propel you to destiny.

DO NOT BUILD A MONUMENT ON YOUR PAST ELSE YOU LOSE FOCUS OF YOUR GOAL!

So let’s tie this up, MIND TOOL VS HISTORY. Simple correlation, and I will define their relationship as follows:

THE MIND TOOL IS A COGNITIVE INSTRUMENT THAT DELETES OUR HISTORY AND PAINTS OUR FUTURE!

How well we use it is a function of our ability to grab the tool and paint whatever we desire, meaning it is skill dependent. YOU WILL LEARN TO USE YOUR MIND TO MAKE THE DESIRED FUTURE! (Reference: Exercise in STRIDES TO SUCCESS).

In our pursuit of success, this tool will be our pencil and we must learn to write with it! As you stride towards your academic and career goals, always know that you can be who you choose to be except you never wanted to be that person. These are fundamentals we must understand as we take a bold step to become better people. We take up from here pretty soon, stay connected and I love you!

STRIDES TO SUCCESS

I have looked around the earth and found that the very first steps to the most celebrated successes start from the MIND. Yes, the Mind. It is indeed one of the most powerful components of our being. Besides our tongue, the thoughts of our hearts make us or destroy us:

Mind is the master power that molds and makes,
And we are Mind, and evermore we take
The tool of thought and shaping what we will,
Bring forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills.
We think in secret, and it comes to pass –
Our environment is but our looking glass

Simple truth! Whatever we think manifests in the physical. Just like the tongue resides in our mouth, our thoughts are the tongues of the heart; they mold the things we see in the physical thereby making our environment a mere looking glass! Do you understand the gravity of this fundamental law, that AS A MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEART SO HE IS.Therefore our first steps to success start with our TRANSFORMATION OF OUR MIND or MIND RENEWAL. Mind transformation takes a deliberate and conscious effort. We must feed our hearts with only those good thoughts that will manifest in the physical because as beings of intelligence, power and love and lord of our own thoughts, we contain within ourselves that regenerative agency that can make us whatever we will.

Our success therefore lies in our hands; we are the shaper of our thoughts, the builders of our characters and the molders of our destinies. So here it goes, the first step to that career and academic success you long for starts when you stop seeing impossibilities and start seeing your self far above all challenges. It is what I call the positive mental attitude. This naturally gravitates you to being solution driven!

Exercise:
1. Write down that pressing thing you want to achieve that seems impossible, be it a first class in school, a second class upper, or a new level of productivity at work. Whatever it is, write it down (remember for short term goals, your aim must be realistic but for long term projects, be as unrealistic as you might want to be. It works!).

2. Continuously build your thoughts to see yourself in the right place you want to be. For example keep thinking of being awarded first class during your convocation, see the certificate with your name boldly written on it in your mind, begin to see A’s in your examination results. Imagine yourself celebrating and giving that valedictory speech on behalf of other students!

3. Run this thought 3 times a day for 7 days or more depending on how you enjoy your new mind status.

If you can continue this, you will discover that in spirit realm, you have exalted yourself and painted yourself to be the best. It sends strong signals down to the physical and the manifestation process begins! Simple as ABC… With this, we are on the road to mind transformation leading to the right path of success.
